Ricky's New Hope Rescue was founded by Ricky Johnson, who witnessed firsthand the plight of abandoned animals in local shelters. After rescuing his first dog from a high-kill shelter, Ricky realized the urgent need for more rescue efforts in our community. What began as a personal mission quickly grew into a full-fledged rescue organization supported by a network of dedicated volunteers, foster families, and veterinary partners.
Today, we operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a team of over 50 volunteers. We work closely with local shelters, animal control agencies, and community members to identify animals in need and provide them with the care and second chance they deserve.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, abused, and neglected animals while promoting responsible pet ownership through community education and outreach programs.
We believe every animal deserves compassion, proper medical care, and a loving home. Our core values include: animal welfare above all, transparency in operations, community collaboration, and education as prevention. We are committed to ending pet overpopulation through spay/neuter initiatives and supporting pet owners in need.
